This stunning Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom was purchased brand new from the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, TN a couple of years ago and has remained in its box ever since. It is virtually unplayed and about as close to new as you’ll find outside the factory. Unlike a standard Ebony Custom, this finish covers the entire guitar: top, back, sides, and neck. Paired with chrome hardware and Black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts, the guitar presents a sleek, modernized take on the iconic Custom look.

Built in small batches by the Gibson Custom Shop, Custom Select instruments feature exclusive finishes and hardware combinations hand-picked by Gibson experts. This model retains all the hallmark Les Paul Custom features: big mother-of-pearl block inlays, split-diamond headstock inlay, and full multi-ply binding.

The 490R / 498T pickup set (Alnico II and Alnico V respectively) delivers a powerful, articulate voice—from warm, rounded cleans to aggressive, singing lead tones. Both pickups are potted to help control feedback at higher gain levels.
