Gibson L-48 1951 – Sunburst

Up for sale is a classic Gibson L-48 archtop, a fantastic example of Gibson’s post-war craftsmanship. The previous owner dated it to 1951, and based on the Factory Order Number (FON), it appears to fall within the 1948–1952 range.

This guitar has had the tailpiece and bridge replaced, and it has received a professional setup—making it comfortable to play with great tone and responsiveness. It delivers that warm, woody archtop sound that works beautifully for jazz, blues, and vintage-style playing.

As expected for an instrument of this age, there is normal cosmetic wear throughout (please refer to photos for condition details). Structurally solid and ready to be played or added to a collection.
