The Summer School Electronics Science Fair is a unique overdrive/distortion that lets you blend two classic drive circuits in parallel to create your own signature sound. Built by working musicians in Syracuse, NY, the Science Fair combines precision, creativity, and chaos — all under one enclosure.

On the left, the Lab Rat (black knobs) delivers a hard-clipping, crisp distortion — tight, aggressive, and full of attitude. On the right, the Test Tube (green knobs) brings a soft-clipping, mid-focused overdrive with a smooth mid-hump boost. The two sides run in parallel, each with its own Drive and Tone controls, while the center column features a Master Blend and Volume to mix and balance the circuits.

Turn the Blend fully left or right to isolate each circuit — or dive into the fun by blending both to discover tones that are uniquely yours. From cutting, articulate crunch to warm, singing saturation, the Science Fair makes it easy to find your personal sonic formula for recording or live use.
