Martin M-36 Grand Auditorium with Case 1979 – Natural

Description

This Martin M-36 Grand Auditorium has just been restrung with extra-light strings and plays beautifully with comfortable low action. The M-36 is a distinctive model in Martin’s lineup, featuring a jumbo-style lower bout paired with a smaller upper bout similar to a 000.

It sports a solid Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides with Martin’s signature three-piece back design, a mahogany neck, rosewood bridge, and ebony fingerboard.

Cosmetically, this Martin M-36 Grand Auditorium shows honest play wear consistent with its age. There are pick scratches on and around the pickguard, belt rash and finish scratches on the back, but no cracks or structural issues. Fret wear is most noticeable on the B string from the 1st to 12th fret. The back of the neck has a few small dings around the 3rd fret, and the pickguard has slightly shrunk over time but remains in good condition.
