The guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. This classic combination delivers a rich and complex sound with clear highs, focused lows, and plenty of warmth. The scalloped X-bracing helps the top respond quickly while adding sustain and resonance.

Martin has also added several Golden Era-inspired updates. The Sitka spruce Golden Era top bracing gives the guitar a more vintage-inspired, open and breathy character. The GE Modified Low Oval neck profile provides a comfortable feel while retaining a traditional Martin-style profile.
