Up for sale is a used Hamer Standard “Lawsuit” X model in a stunning Cherry Sunburst finish, paired with a Epiphone hard case that’s in excellent condition.
Please note: This is NOT a Hamer Standard XT model. This guitar is the 2017 Hamer Standard, introduced at the 2017 NAMM Show as part of Hamer’s short-lived return to the guitar market under KMC Music. This particular model was quickly pulled from production after Gibson issued a Cease and Desist, due to its unmistakable resemblance to the iconic Explorer body shape. Because of this, the model has earned a reputation among collectors and enthusiasts as the “Lawsuit Model.”
These guitars were only available for a brief window, and as a result, they’ve become increasingly hard to find—especially in good condition. A quick search on YouTube for “Hamer Standard 2017 NAMM” will bring up several videos showcasing and discussing this exact model.
This guitar features classic X-style body lines, solid craftsmanship, and excellent playability. It’s in used condition with minor signs of wear, but no breaks or repairs, and everything functions as it should. The included Epiphone case fits the guitar very well and has been kept in great shape.
