While closely related to the 1960 Les Paul Standard, the 1959 model is distinguished by its fuller Rounded Medium C neck profile, a shape many players prefer over the slimmer SlimTaper™ profile introduced the following year. Developed in partnership with Gibson Custom, the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue faithfully captures the look, feel, and performance of this iconic instrument at a far more attainable price. It features a one-piece mahogany neck with a long neck tenon, a bound rosewood fingerboard, authentic 1959 Rounded Medium C neck profile, vintage-correct side dot placement, mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays, an aged Epiphone headstock logo, and the classic “Les Paul Model” silkscreen on the Gibson-style open-book headstock.

The genuine mahogany body is topped with a carved maple cap and a stunning AAA flamed maple veneer, delivering the timeless look that made the original famous. Premium electronics include a pair of USA Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with Alnico 3 magnets, hand-wired to CTS® potentiometers, Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors, and Switchcraft® components for authentic vintage tone and reliability.
