Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue – Vintage Gloss with Hardshell Case

The 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard is one of the most sought-after vintage guitars ever made. It has been played and admired by legendary musicians such as Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, and Joe Walsh.

The 1960 model is very similar to the famous 1959 Les Paul Standard. However, it features one important difference: a thinner, faster-playing SlimTaper neck profile. Many players prefer this more comfortable neck over the thicker profile found on the 1959 models.

Epiphone brings this legendary design back with the 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue, developed in partnership with Gibson Custom. It captures the look, feel, and performance of the original at a more accessible price.

The genuine mahogany body features a carved maple cap with a beautiful AAA flame maple veneer. The one-piece mahogany neck has a long neck tenon for added stability and sustain. It also features the comfortable 60s SlimTaper profile and a bound rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays.

The Gibson-style open-book headstock adds to the vintage appearance. It features an aged mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo and gold “Les Paul Model” lettering. Even the side dot markers follow the original 1960 specifications.

Electrinocs

The electronics are equally impressive. Two USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with Alnico 3 magnets deliver classic vintage Les Paul tones. They are hand-wired to CTS potentiometers and Luxe Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors. A Switchcraft pickup selector and output jack complete the electronics.

The Vintage Gloss finish gives the guitar a classic appearance without looking overly aged. Nickel hardware and Epiphone Deluxe Double Ring Keystone tuners complete the look.

A vintage-style brown hardshell case with Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics and a pink plush interior is included.

This is a great choice for players who love the look and sound of a vintage 1959 Les Paul but prefer the slimmer, faster neck profile of the 1960 model.
