Vintage Bundy by Selmer Alto Saxophone – American Made – Wire Keyguards
Here’s a cool vintage Bundy by Selmer alto saxophone, made in the USA by the American Selmer company. While Bundy was Selmer’s more affordable line, these horns were still built in the old-school American tradition and have the look and character of a vintage Selmer saxophone.
One of the coolest features on this horn is the wire-style keyguards, which give it that classic vintage Selmer appearance. It has a distinctly old-school look and feel that you just don’t get from today’s student saxophones.
Condition / Playing Condition:
I personally played a scale on the saxophone and it played through the scale. I also replaced one felt bumper. Other than that, I have not had the instrument gone through or professionally serviced.
The saxophone is being sold AS-IS. It currently plays and appears to be in playing condition. The pads all look newer and there must have been some serious (maybe repad) work done recently. As with any vintage saxophone, a buyer may want to have it checked over and adjusted by a qualified saxophone technician depending on their intended use. That would be all up to and at the buyers expense.
This would make a great horn for someone looking for an American-made vintage saxophone with genuine old-school character, whether as a player, project, or vintage sax collection piece.
Please look carefully at all photos, as they are part of the description.
Sold AS-IS. No warranty is expressed or implied.
I’ve seen other examples of these vintage horns listed and sold for $800 or more, so here’s your opportunity at $795 or Best Offer.
This is a horn for someone who knows, appreciates, and understands the character of these vintage American-made saxophones.
