Up for sale is a vintage 1960 Kay K6980 Swingmaster in classic sunburst finish, featuring the highly sought-after three “Speed Bump” pickups. This is a great-playing and great-sounding example of a true vintage hollow body.
All electronics are in good working condition, with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, offering a wide range of tonal options. The guitar has a rich, resonant acoustic voice even when unplugged, adding to its overall character.
The original tailpiece is stamped “Made in Germany,” a nice vintage detail. Cosmetically, the guitar shows normal player wear consistent with its age, but nothing that affects playability or performance. See photos above for condition.
