GIBSON Les Paul Junior 1955 – OVERVIEW
Vintage tone meets undeniable character in this 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior with its original sunburst finish. Designed as a student model, this single-cut gem quickly earned respect from professionals thanks to its raw tone and stripped-down style.
Every inch of this guitar tells a story. Years of honest playwear have left their mark, from the fine lacquer checking on the body to the worn edges of the fingerboard. Still, the guitar remains structurally solid and completely ready for stage or studio use.
Boasting a slab mahogany body and matching neck, this Junior delivers incredible resonance and sustain. Plug in, and the original mid-‘50s P-90 pickup roars to life with punchy lows, snarling mids, and articulate highs. Whether you play clean or crank the gain, this guitar responds with unmistakable clarity and warmth.
Under the hood, the original electronics remain untouched and fully functional. While the jack plate has a crack, it still works as it should. Frets are in good shape with plenty of life, and the neck plays smoothly despite some dings on the back. A possible neck reset may have occurred, though any work was clearly done with care—nothing affects its rock-solid playability.
This isn’t a museum piece—it’s a true player’s guitar. The kind you want to pick up, plug in, and never put down. Simple, lightweight at 7lbs 4oz, and bursting with vintage mojo, it’s a timeless example of Gibson’s golden-era craftsmanship.
Comes housed in a non-original Gibson hard case for safe transport and storage.
Collectors and players alike will appreciate this guitar’s vibe, tone, and history. Offers are welcome—don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or for additional photos.
