D’Angelico Excel SS Soho Electric Guitar – Dark Cherry Burst

D’Angelico Excel SS Soho Electric Guitar – Dark Cherry Burst

$1,599.99

The D’Angelico Excel SS Soho Hollowbody is a specialized guitar tailored for old-school jazz at every turn. With features plucked straight from mid-century Manhattan, the Excel SS Soho also packs modern touches chosen by the pros. D’Angelico collaborated with Mark Whitfield, a true veteran of New York’s contemporary jazz scene, to perfect this Excel entry’s looks and feel. This guitar’s flame maple and laminated spruce body yield stunning warmth and playability that’s vintage, timeless, and modern all at once. A single “Jazzy Joe” neck humbucker made by Kent Armstrong, a creative force behind several acclaimed pickups voiced for jazz, sets players up for perfect tones right out of the box. The Excel SS Soho also plays comfortably with a versatile “C”-shaped, 3-piece maple/walnut neck and a silky-smooth ebony fingerboard. It’s all tied together with a stunning finish and elegant high-end touches, including split block mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays, a stairstep tailpiece, an ebony pickguard, and, of course, D’Angelico’s signature art deco headstock. Simply put, vintage-inspired jazz boxes don’t get any better than this!
